Gobi curry

Indonesian Cauliflower Curry » Maayeka

Ingredients:

  • Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
  • Butter or Ghee: 1 oz
  • Dry mustard: ½ teaspoon
  • Ground turmeric:  1 tspoon
  • Garlic powder:  ¼ tspoon
  • Ground ginger:  ½ tspoon
  • Chili powder:  ½ tspoon
  • Cauliflower: 1 medium size, divided into florets
  • Garam masala: 1 tspoon
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Fry the onion in the butter or ghee until it is golden brown
  • Add all the spices, except the garam masala . add salt to taste, stir well and cook for 2 minutes
  • Then add the cauliflower and 3 tbspoon (1/4 cup) water
  • Cook, cover, over low heat
  • Then cauliflower is just tender, sprinkle the garam masala
  • Cook for further 5 minutes.
