STAPES is the smallest bone in the human body, which is found in middle ear.

 

  • stapes are 3mm by 2.5mm
  • malleus, stapes and incus are the three bones that make up the middle ear
  • smallest of the three bones, stapes resembles a bell
  • this delicate bone works with two others in the ear to send sound vibrations into the inner ear.
