Chocolate sponge cake


  • Maida: 1 cup
  • Sugar: 1 cup
  • Cocoa: ½ cup (opt.)
  • Egg: 6
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoon
  • Vanilla essence: few drops


  • Beat the egg white till very stuff
  • Gradually add castor sugar
  • Then add the yellow part of eggs one by one
  • Add a few drops of vanilla essence
  • Gradually add purpose flour (maida), mixed with baking powder
  • Mix with cut and fold method
  • Add cocoa powder
  • Pour the mixture into the oven bowl
  • Now bake the cake in the oven for few minutes
  • Cooldown the cake.
